After graduation from dental school at Gothenburg University in Sweden, circumstances sent Dr Mark to the south of Spain and Marbella. Blue skies and palm trees are not what makes him tick, though;  it is his joy and dedication to his profession. All his professional life he has been studying and practising to become better at what he does: dental implants. He is working at the moment together with his brother Dr Sam Mark, also implant Surgeon, at Mark Dental Clinic Fuengirola and Estepona, and, Aaura Dental in Marbella.

He started his postgraduate training with a master’s program in implantology in Barcelona. Then he extended his clinical skills at Loma Linda University in California. He continued along this route and did an oral surgery program at Seville University. Finally, he completed his Master of Science program with comprehensive hospital and clinical training at Manchester University School of Dentistry. He graduated with distinction and wrote his thesis on clinical solutions with dental implants for patients with limited bone volumes.

His dedication not only applies to his professional life but also to his personal life, as he is constantly seeking new goals to achieve and to test his limits. His biggest achievement in life would be having climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, the highest freestanding mountain in the world at 5,882 meters above sea level.

 

His diverse cultural background, having travelled to many countries in the world and speaking several languages, has made him very humble and open minded. His personal values are reflected in his professional life and he embodies sincerity and empathy. That is why his patients fully trust him and always come back to him.
